The origin of Kawanishi Kaban. What are Kawanishi Kaban bags?

When Kawanishi Bags was first founded, the female craftsmen who made the bags were conducting in-house research and development to clarify the direction of the brand, and their goal was to create bags that they themselves would want to use.

abb is a large-capacity tote bag made from fine, thin canvas for adults and featuring a smart design that eliminates stitching on the surface of the bag.

This bag is named abb.


When developing a bag from scratch, various factors must be taken into consideration, including usability as well as productivity and material efficiency.

The handle is made of genuine leather and is attached with matte rivets that match the material.


What I want you to see is the back of the handle.


By sandwiching leather parts that are individually cut into a round shape to fit the rivets, we have not only increased durability, but also achieved an elegant and sophisticated finish.

 

You can also use it as a shoulder bag by attaching the optional "shoulder parts" to the shoulder metal fittings (D-ring + leather parts) on both sides of the bag.

Smart yet large capacity

 


Although the abb looks compact, it has a large capacity of 8.4 liters for a tote bag.


Tablets up to 10 inches (approximately 20 cm high x 15 cm wide) can also be placed sideways.


The secret to its large capacity is the wide gusset width of 14cm, which has been carefully designed.

Through trial and error, we developed this product to strike the perfect balance between ease of carrying and large capacity.


*A4 file size is just enough to fit in landscape orientation.

Therefore, if you put an A4 file in it, the magnet will not close.

The shape of this bag is not suitable for people who frequently need to carry A4 files.

Compared to ordinary canvas, it looks finer and more delicate, but it is more durable and has been paraffin-treated to make it water-repellent.

This is the first bag I purchased from Kawanishi Bags.
I had always wanted a canvas tote bag, but the ones I saw were too thick, too plain, or not quite balanced... I thought leather handles would be better, and I wasn't really thinking of a specific tote like abb, but the moment I saw this, I thought "This is it!" and bought it. I chose the beige color.
The result was a hit! The size and placement of the inner pocket is perfect, so it's easy to decide on a fixed place for things (I know this is a bit of a nerd, but I like the feeling of putting my smartphone in the inner pocket lol). It's also great that it stands upright.
In addition, the size and balance are very good, and it is simple yet very cute. The adult canvas fabric and invisible seams make it elegant and can be matched with various outfits. The beige color looks great not only in summer but also with a dark colored coat in winter.
I also purchased the AB charm and shoulder parts. I will continue to use them and treasure them. Thank you very much!

I like the content of Kawanishi Kaban's YouTube channel and I started watching it a lot.
I decided to purchase it because by chance I already had an IL BISONTE tote that the president had introduced in an episode about the IL BISONTE brand. I was dissatisfied with the fact that the tote would not stand on its own, so when President Kawanishi pointed this out, I immediately checked online. They only had the beige in stock, but I liked it so much that I bought it. Since I was so happy with it when it arrived, I couldn't put it down. I'm also considering buying other types as well. I have to buy while it's in stock, so it's important to always check the information - I'd like to visit the store as well.

I need an outside pocket

I was torn between the Minimon and the Abebe, but since I carry a lot of luggage, the Abebe was the best size for me.
I also like that it can hold everything I need and doesn't get cluttered.
The handle is easy to grip, and although I usually wear it cross-body, I've started carrying it in my hand more often.

The problem is that it's hard to get the IC card out...
If you have an outside pocket for traveling by train <br>It can be put in there, so it is difficult to take in and out. <br>I wonder if it will go smoothly...

However, I like the Abebe design, so I wonder if adding an outside pocket to it is a bit strange.

It's cute!

I was looking for a bag that wouldn't look cluttered, so I bought the red one from abb. I was torn between the beige and the red one, but it's a really nice red color and I think it will go with any outfit. It's a cute, sturdy and lovely bag. The contents of the bag fit neatly, and the plastic bottle pocket is a good divider for when I don't have anything in it, or to put my glasses case in it. I bought the white shoulder bag, the thin one, but it hurts my shoulders when I wear it diagonally across my body for long periods of time, so next time I'll buy a thicker one.
However, I bought the thinner shoulder bag because I thought it would be better balanced for the add, so I'm happy with it.

Perfect for commuting!

I learned about Kawanishi Kaban on YouTube and have always wanted to try them. However, there are no stores in my town and I can't see the actual products, so it's difficult to judge the texture and color, and I'm not sure which one to buy.
It was hard for me to decide, but I finally decided to buy it. I was so excited that I couldn't wait until it arrived.
When I received the product and checked it directly, I was happy with the sturdy canvas fabric and leather handle. I was unsure about the color, but I think it was perfect for my first purchase. By the way, I bought the Abebe beige color. I thought I had checked the bag's use inside before purchasing it, but there was a lobster clasp on the inside of one of the D-rings on the side where the shoulder strap is attached.
I'm very happy to use this to hang my keys. I'm excited. However, it's a little small, so it's a little hard to use.
I think it would be even better if it was oval instead of round and a little larger.
The last thing that was a bit disappointing was...
I live in Hokkaido. When the product arrived at my house, there was a hole in the cardboard box. I opened it to see if the contents were okay, but the bag was just in a small non-woven bag, so I hurriedly took it out to see if it had been soaked in by rain or something.
The non-woven fabric was small, so the handle was sticking out. It would be reassuring if the whole product was wrapped in a film-type bag after being wrapped in non-woven fabric. I would like you to improve this.
(This time no damage was caused to the product) I am looking forward to enjoying my new life with Kawanishi Bag.

使い勝手いいです！

グレープミニはポケットがたくさんあり、いろんな物を収納が出来
便利です。ちょっとしたお出かけにはちょうどいいです。
あと、オリーブ（カーキ）の、濃い緑の感じが自分好みです。
頒布シリーズのリュックを再販してほしいです。

一つ
気になるのは、ショルダーパーツです。
手で持ってる分には楽に持てるのですが、肩に掛けると
１〜２時間ほどで肩がだるくなってしまいます。

別売りでショルダーパーツに背負うのが楽になる
何か別に着けるものがあると更に良くなるのではないかなって思いました。

グレープミニ自体には、全然不満はありません。

革のかばんが好きで、色々と長年使ってましたが、最近は少し軽いのがいいなと思いまして。YouTubeで丁寧に作られてるこのabbが気になってました。東京のイベントで実物を手に取って納得。しっかりしていてすごく使いやすいです。通勤用にサイズもぴったりでした。ペットボトルホルダー良いですね。カワニシカバンデビューできました。大切に使わせていただきます！

良い感じ

GENの黒とおそろいにしたくて黒/黒を購入しました。
エクセラのエレメントの色が黒X7かと思っていたのですが、少し違うような気がします。
IかV3のような見た目です。
GENのエレメントが真っ黒なのでちょっと惜しい感じですね。
革の質感や仕上がりは良いです。
元旦に使い始める為、今は万札を入れて寝せています。
推奨のマチなし側ではなくマチありのカードホルダーの奥にギリ10枚入ります。
5千円札千円札は推奨の場所に入れて使用する予定。
カードホルダーが縦型というのはやはりすごく使いやすい感じがしますね、
今使っている財布ではカードホルダーが横型で取り出しのたびにファスナーに引っ掛かったりして取り出しにくく、そこが改善されるのは一番期待しているところです。
最近はAirTag等を財布に入れる人も多いと思いますので、マチあり側のコイン入れの下、コインを取り出しやすくする為の現在の縫製をマチ側だけ斜めに角度を付けて、下にAirTag用のカットを入れるともっと便利になりそうだと思いました。
GENと合わせて使用するのが楽しみです。

かなり満足です

縦型カード収納がとても良いのですが、ラウンドしている方にカードを入れるとファスナーを閉める時に角が少し引っかかり気味なのが気になりました。カード収納位置設定に余裕があるので、もう少し内側になっていると良いと思いました。
コンパクトで使い勝手の良さは今までで一番良いです。

皮の手触りが癒しです。キャメル色も気に入っています。出掛ける時本当に必要な物だけ詰めるようになったので、身軽になりました。ただ開けっぴろげなのでちょっと心配でコードクリップも購入しましたが、２本まとめるには、短いです。
中央にかくれマグネットがあればとおもいます。
私もパッチワークなどしていて袋物も作ります。質の良い合皮があるのでニセモノを作ってみます。
ステッチば1cmに３目とか糸端の処理とかブロの技に感心しています。

ついにデビュー♪

元々企画デザインや縫製の会社にも在籍していたのでYouTubeを興味深く拝見し、応援の意味での初カワニシカバン、購入の決め手はライブでの横から見たサイズ感でした☆
手持ちの倉敷帆布に近いイメージでしたが、アーミーダックという生地はカジュアルな見た目なのに想像以上にしっかりした作りで、久々に学生鞄を持つような新鮮な気分です。
私のバッグは、ほぼ全てが小ぶりなショルダーなので、ハンドバッグにたまに使う付属のベルトという認識ではなく、本体とショルダーは同じ生地の方が良かったなと思いました（今回はグレーブのミニバージョン新登場なのは動画で承知してます）。持ち物も小さめなので側面ポケットでも水筒が入り、内側のボトルケースには携帯や手袋など、他と分けたいモノをランダムに入れ、外側の後ろポケットは携帯や小腹が空いたときに食べるおせんべいやクッキーを入れると、生地の硬さに守られて割れません☆
仕事用なので表のDカンチャームにコードが伸びるカードキーケースを付け前ポケットへ。運転中のど飴等を取りたい時、自立して形を保っているので出しやすいです。
いつもならオリーブですが服装に色を取り入れているためグレージュにして正解でした！発送も予定日より早く、ちょうど仕事で落ち込んでいる日に届き、皆さんの顔が思い浮かんで嬉しかったです。
